Hi Future Family!
Hiya! I’m #FelixtheFrenchBulldog and I am one AWESOME puppy! I love everyone. I love to play. I love my foster mamas. I love all my foster brother & sister dogs. I love my Cat Brother. I love toys. I love treats. I love my food. I love learning new tricks. I love car rides and snuggling and napping and even crate time!
I came to the Rescue Ranch back in August after being surrendered. I had a long story to get here of bouncing to a few different places, but thankfully I landed right where I should. See I was born with spina bifida, that’s a birth defect of the spinal cord. I’m lucky cause my spinal lesion is what’s called closed, so I didn’t need any special surgeries. I also can totally walk, run, leap, jump, shake toys, play tug of war, wallow in the grass, and every other puppy thing no problem! I am incontinent, that means I don’t know when I need to urinate or defecate, but the best part is I don’t know anything is wrong at all! I just know I wear I cool special belt in the house and Mickey Mouse diapers when I sleep in my crate or go for car rides. My foster mama says I’m “special needs light” which means by needs are very easily met by most families looking to adopt. My spina bifida will not get worse and won’t effect my life expectancy, I’ll just need diapers and belly bands.
My forever family should be ready for a puppy. I need a fenced in yard to get my running and playing on. I would love to have fur siblings, dogs or playful cats, to play with. I get along with all people and would be good with kids over age 6 years old. (I would probably lick tiny children a whole lot and steal their toys and put puppy teeth marks on them.) I need my belly band changed every 4-6 hours.
I recently completed 6 weeks of Adolescent Puppy Training with Canine Country Academy. I learned about sitting and waiting and really real relaxation. I also learned about loose leash walking and polite greetings. I can’t wait to learn even more stuff with my forever family.
Like any puppy adopted from the Rescue Ranch, my family needs to make a commitment to attend a minimum of 6 weeks training with me using a certified trainer so we can build our bond.
