I’ve Been Adopted!
Meet Rose
We’d like to thank Dr. Esther for saving this baby girl who was brought in to be euthanized because of a skin allergy.
Rose is an English Bulldog which has a very different personality than a Boston Terrier. Rose (and most all EBs) are pretty lazy. Her idea of an afternoon walk is a stroll across the yard. She LOVES to be a giant couch potato! She also can be a little stubborn (like when she’s still sleeping the bed and you have to put a leash on her to pull her out so she’ll potty before you have to leave). She sweet and affectionate and very snuggly, but definitely more of a couch & Netflix gal than a mountain hike gal.
Every once in a while she’ll get a wild hair to run and play and bounce around with the other dogs and it’s adorable, but not an all the time thing. She also tends to bark at the other dogs if she wants to play and they don’t.
She does have an occasional allergy. She will get very pink and itchy and around her face may swell a little. The vet says it’s not uncommon in EBs to have these a couple times a year and you usually never figure out the exact cause, but she can take a 25 mg of Benadryl and is feeling better in about 20 minutes.
She also has a little limp in her back leg. The vet believes it’s just the way she is shaped and as long as it doesn’t seem painful she doesn’t want to medicate her. it could be something that she would need pain medication for in a few years as arthritis sets in with age.
She is an awesome dog if you’re looking for a snuggle buddy and couch date. She’s fine to be left in the house alone without tearing anything up. She doesn’t have house accidents and if we’ve had to be gone more than a few hours I’ll leave a pee pad down and she’ll use that if she has to go. She loves chew toys. She’s also a garbage disposal and will eat most any food thing. 🙂 She’s a great car rider. She gets along with all the dogs here.
She is spayed, vaccinates, and heart worm negative.
